Daft Punk - Live at Keyspan Park in Brooklyn, New York, 9•8•07



Everyone's favorite robot humanoids, the French house outfit Daft Punk (a.k.a. Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo), played a spectacular live show at Keyspan Park in Coney Island section of Brooklyn, NY on Tuesday, August 9th.
The event was a part of the duo's Alive 2007 Tour - their first live tour in a decade.
The sold-out evening featured a mind-blowing visuals, bangin' sound system and, with approx. 7,500 dancing and cheering fans, the whole place was completely exploding with energy. According to all accounts, it was the show of the year in New York City and well worth waiting for since 1997.

In related news, according to Billboard, Daft Punk will release a special live album chronicling the June 14 Paris stop on their 2007 tour. As-yet-untitled set will be available in November in a single CD edition plus a two-disc set which features the show's encore.

Een enorm stevig, gedreven en lekker concert van Trentemøller gisteren in de Bravo-tent op Lowlands. Meer techno en dansgerichter dan zijn geweldige album Last Resort. Met drums en (bas)gitaar.

Arcade Fire @ HMH
Gisteren op Pukkelpop (zie video), morgen op Lowlands en 13 november in de Heineken Music Hall. Voor die laatste heb ik de tickets in de pocket. Op Lowlands pik ik misschien een stukje mee, maar het Trentemoller (met band) optreden heeft mijn voorkeur.
